VW unveiled Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion an all-electric wagon concept at the 2019 LA Auto Show.
The Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion electric concept car can reach up to 590 kilometers (WLPT) on a single charge, boasts an impressive aerodynamic construction (with power up to 340 hp (250 kW) accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5,4 seconds) and is made with recycled materials. And if you look for the handle to open the door, well … it doesn’t exist.
The Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion should be on sale from 2021. Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION will be a “pure” electric, like all the cars of the ID family. It will be available in two engines: basic will include only one engine on the rear axle, capable of developing 279 hp (205 kW), then the second one of 102 hp (75 kW) can be added on the front axle, thus making the car with all-wheel drive. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 175 km / h.
The car is equipped with an 82 kWh gross capacity battery (net 77). The autonomy in the WLTP cycle is 590 km (we are talking about the prototype was shown today, not the definitive model; in short, we will have to go back there). The battery pack, positioned on the center for an almost perfect distribution of the weights on the two axes, supports powers up to 150 kW (direct current), and promises an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION is a station wagon that exploits the advantages of electric propulsion to provide a first-class interior space and habitability. The trunk has a capacity of 586 liters.
The roof is in glossy black, not panoramic, and ends at the back with a small spoiler. On the sides of the roof, two aluminum bands are clearly visible that widen as you proceed towards the rear of the car.
Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION will be positioned in the mid-market segment, just like the Passat. For now, we have no information about possible prices.
