The LG Electronics plant in Vietnam, where most of LG’s phones were manufactured, will now make home appliances. LG has already shifted some of its manufacturing capacity to this area so that employees do not lose jobs.
By the end of July, all employees who previously worked on smartphones will be transferred to the production of household appliances. Recently it was revealed that LG employees in South Korea were given an exclusive opportunity to purchase unreleased LG Rollable and Velvet 2 Pro smartphones at very low prices. The factory in Haiphong (Vietnam) was founded in 2015 and produces TVs and home appliances.
