The new Ford Mustang Mach-E can be charged from 10% to 80% in six hours with Ford’s new home charger. Ford unveiled its Ford Connected home charger in 14 markets in Europe.
The key to getting even more people to realize the benefits of electrification is to build trust. Ford is therefore now launching a complete charging infrastructure to make owning a Mustang Mach-E easy throughout Europe. With the new and upgraded Ford Connected home charger, charging will be faster, smarter and easier.
The new charging solution comes in two different versions, a 7.4 kW version and an 11 kW version. With the wall-mounted home charger, the new Mustang Mach-E electric SUV can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 6 hours.
Owners can monitor and control the home charger from their mobile phone, can check both charging speed, energy consumption and give others access to use the charger. The charger is built for outdoor use and comes with 7.5 meters integrated charging cable.
With the Mustang Mach-E, two charging cables will also be delivered. A 6-meter long charging cable for use at public AC charging stations, and a 6.7 meter long charging cable for home use.
Ford announced that Norwegian customers who now order the new Mustang Mach-E will receive more than a 75% discount on charging in the IONITYcharging network for the first year. New Mustang Mach-E customers also get five years of free access to the FordPass charging network for easy charging throughout Europe in collaboration with NewMotion. This is Europe’s largest network of public charging stations – comprising more than 155,000 charging stations located throughout Europe.
With a charging speed of up to 150 kW, the new Mustang Mach-E, with up to 610 km range and rear-wheel drive, can charge a full 119 km in just 10 minutes.
